Giữa 2 lựa chọn là làm video hay viết luận thì my advice sẽ là các bạn nên làm VIDEO bởi vì:
(1) Điều này sẽ giúp adcom có thể hiểu hơn về your personality, communication skills cũng như your friendliness. English speaking skills là một kỹ năng vô cùng quan trọng khi đi học MBA,nhưng lại là một điểm yếu của nhiều sinh viên quốc tế. Do đó, thông qua các video này thì adcom cũng sẽ đánh giá được khả năng nói Tiếng anh của bạn.
(2) Your dedication and commitment to the program. Hầu hết adcom đều biết rằng một người sẽ apply nhiều trường và không có ai muốn trường mình là back-up của trường khác cả. Do đó, nếu bạn nhận được nhiều offer mà từ chối trường thì sẽ ảnh hưởng rất nhiều đến yield rate. Chính vì vậy khi một ứng viên đầu tư nhiều thời gian và tâm huyết cho việc làm essay thì sẽ chứng minh được tính cam kết và sự quan tâm của ứng viên với trường.
Dĩ nhiên thì chắc chắn trường sẽ không loại hồ sơ của bạn chỉ đơn giản bởi vì bạn viết luận thay vì làm video.
